On Saturday night our very own Megan Mueller participated in this year's Wearable Art Fashion show, put on by VCU at La Difference. After months of red-stained hands, and glue gun burns, her masterpiece was created. Below is the award winning "tampon dress", as modeled by her talented roomie, Racine. Yes that's right, her dress is made of tampons- but it sure looks cool! Megan took home 4th place, and the Theo Young Scholarship. Congratulations to our "paper dress princess" who always finds new and uber-creative ways to fashion a dress!

Fashion First is back for fall in Carytown! Participating stores stay open later the first Thursday of each month to offer great sales, special events, trunk shows, or just some extra shopping time for busy girls. As always, JetSet promises to have fun filled evenings this fall. We are pleased to welcome Bella Designs jewelry to JetSet Boutique!
Local (Alexandria, VA) designer, Melissa Emerick, uses lots of color with fun sparkling beads and metal, as well as big chunky stones, to create her one of a kind pieces. Her items seem to be the perfect mix of trendy and classic blended together. We are also excited to have Melissa participate in a Bella Designs trunk show for Fashion First this fall- stay tuned for dates and details!

JetSet Boutique has achieved celebrity status- well almost. We are so excited to let you know that JetSet has been featured in the August 20th issue of OK! Magazine on stands now!
Check out their trend special on page 69 to see fall's latest trends- including the Molly NY dress featured from JetSet!!
The dress is a deep red silk jacquard and sizes run 2-10. Beginning Monday 8/13 we will take pre-orders for the dress which has an expected delivery date of 8/30!! Those of you who are celebrity tabloid junkies, like we are, know that this is huge!! yay!!!!!

If you've ever wondered where all the fabulous paper dresses come from on our JetSet girl on Cary street- let us solve the mystery for you.

Meet Megan-our lovely and multi-talented employee! Megan, a former fashion merchandising major, is now a sculpture major at VCU. She is constantly thinking of creative ways to dress our mannequin, and each dress is more awe inspiring then the previous! It takes her about a few hours for each creation- all done by hand, using tissue paper and materials found in JetSet. Check out her latest finished product down below, or on the sidewalks of Carytown- and no, sorry you can't wear or buy her dresses, but they are fabulous to look at aren't they?

Our favorite friendly UPS delivery guy Ivan just brought us a cute new delivery from one of our favorite new lines- Akiko. Great feeling fabrics and of the moment styles at affordable prices will make you want it all! We love the graphic print of the dress on the left- and especially the fact that it has sleeves for fall, and the black trapeze dress is adorable in every way- it doesn't get much easier than a little black dress! This arrival also offers two adorable baby-doll tops and a swingy sweater. It won't last long- we've already sold three pieces straight out of the box!!

Check out the Best and Worst Issue of Richmond Magazine on stands now! Thanks to everyone who voted JetSet Boutique as the 2nd best women's boutique in Richmond! We'll take second any day!
